After long time of (not) posting anything, i would like to share a quick good news with all of you Currently am working in “Coated”, the full version of PC & iPhone. Yea it is pretty much work , but am looks like full time in that job now it is one of my favorite games i ever did & i got lots & lots of feedback and people like the game & want to play it more. So, i decided to make the full version of Coated. So, you can keep in touch, i may post each one or two days the updates and tips of making the game have a nice,better gameplay and nice performance too. Note that the game contain +100 level with lots of interesting gameplay mechanics, enemies & levels. So, keep tuned for every single new update, i may add one of your ideas inside my full released game with a thank you statement in the credits and Yes you will feel a new experience with “Coated” and thank you “Matt” for the changing the icon request i will defiantly change it in the IOS/PC full release !
Hello, am not late that time just couple of hours from my last post .. In that 2 hours i was cleanning my old blog & make it fresh again, submitting new cool wordpress theme to it and making the logo for that post. I found i should podt my own stuff -like freelance & companies work or any other thing i code it like my targeting system- in another blog, not in 10daysGame. WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Google and lots of other sites are blocked here in China, I really miss my country where any website is free to use, whatever the content. missing you Egypt
Anyway, i got today an email telling me that the IOS game i was working in 2012 will be live within 10 days maximum & it had been approved from Apple, Cheers. Yea it was 2d game, added zero expreience to me just teaching some people & there was an ugly junior messing inside the project. But this is what the managers wanted . Going back to my targeting system, am now working in paralleling way in 3d & coding. In 3dsMax (yea, this time not using Maya) am making now the skinning for the character. After that I’ll start to Animate & i choose 3dsMax because of the quick Biped cool features. Because i have lots of MotionCaptureFiles i got from my X-Animation company “Coincide” . Plus using Mixer is more easy & give great results in such movements. So, i found 3DsMax Biped will be great to setup animations for real games in small amont of time comparing to Maya.
In coding area, i strted to draft the inputs of Keyboard & Mouse & hope to have something to show soon. I guess I’ll make such a playlist in my Youtube channel to show the progress of that system.
For the character it self, i found lots of MaxPayne3 resources & found lots of Max styles on the internet. But i really like that one:
Hi everyone, Sorry for the long out of posting
In fact, i have some problems in connections because of moving + the internet in China by default blocking WordPress ! Anyway am i had to stop working in TFK because of some freelance work and after that i went back to work in the Targeting System. But after few days i found it will be great if i integrated an AI system too. An AI built from ground and up to match my needs and trying to make it perfect as i imagined. So, now am working in my own AI + Targeting systems & after that promise i will stop making tools and gameplay techniques and continue making a full games
For the used Language & SDK. At the beginning i got ONLY 2 choices> My choices was CryEngine Or OpenGL. I found working in OpenGL will be exhausting as it will take more time than it need & i will focus in rendering the final result more than focusing in the Algorithm it self ! So i take this choice out for now. For CryEngine which i really like, i found working with flowgraph i sort of limited, and will not give me the free coding or programming environment which i need to make something from scratch. CryEngine is amazing, but sometimes i feel it is already give me everything cool !
So, i started to think about Unity, UDK & Shiva. For Shiva as it is not that powerful i got it out of my mind in that one too. UDK was amazing and the most Powerful thing, Specially with the unreal scripting. But for my current computer or in another word labtop, it runs so slow..and as we all know UDK need amazing computer to run smoothly..So, i choosed Unity, i can use in my labtop fine & sooth. Plus it can run in my Mac too. and Unity C# or JS have lots of great classes too like unreal scripting. So, it looks like UDK, but less quality & better performance in my current setup. So, hope me good luck in this systems am going to make.

Am trying now to give a different post to celebrate the new year with all of you As i promised in the Other blog, Twitter and Facebook that I’ll make an advanced targeting system like MaxPayneIII. I started to put the main milestones of it last night. I just installed the game again to have it as a reference in hand better than youtube videos. to be able going back and forth between reference and development. I was so lucky to find Max himself character as 3d model. Or at least a character looks like him 90% . So, i found it will be a good idea to use it in the test to have a better feeling of it & to have better view to compare it with the original system. I guess I’ll spent more time animating, because I’ll need at least [according to my calculations] 50 different animation clip..! and of course am not own MOTION CAPTURE at home So, I’ll animate them all . So, hope me good luck. And the next post will be for TFK animations.
OK, today the Knight 85% done and am finishing small refinements and starting the rigging, skinning & animating after hours. What i had changed, i reduced little the amount of poly & fixed overall the head shape to make it looks funny and heroic as well. Decreased the muscles to make it looks convenient, because the chest muscles before looks like a box . The lower part now is much more smaller to give a funny feeling while running & the hood now it bigger to give some feeling if a Knight
hi again, after over than a day of working, am still in the knight character modeling. As am the number one in the world who [HATE] to draw or model “Humanoid” characters. Because it always looks strange. So, i though it will be great if i searched for referencers to be able to do the mission. After half a day of researching i got over 400 image of batman, i started to study and check different styles Until i got an imagination in my mind. I started to blocking it and going between different references to have more feeling about the mass of the knight.
Finally i have something to show,this is not the final model, or at least it is the final (looking) of the model, but am still optimizing some stuff and refining some stuff to be easy while rigging and animating it. As a big fan of cartoons & specially Pixar’s like “The Incredibles”, i like the hard edge style of most of the characters plus some screen effects and decided to take it as main reference in some stuff inside my game. For now am still thinking about the final looking of the game, and i found it may be a great thing i have it grainy black and white like the earliy shots in “The Incredibles” or little de-saturated like some shots from the next video :

Hellooooooo again my dear friends, developers and player;
Today am proudly can announce my next game title, and i hope to it to be a new different way to my games. Usually you all used to see my games as PUZZLE games or even platformers. But my next one will be a RUNNER game. After lots of playing in my phone, i liked several games, And most of them was running games like Pitfall, Subway Surf, Agent Dash, JetPack and the original Temple Run. So, i found it will be great if i give my games another turn now to make different categories as i promised in an early post.
My next game will basically be a runner. But with my own flavor of adding fun to the game play & adding something interesting to make the player enjoy playing. As i mentioned before i like to respect the person who choose to give my game a room of his time & respect that amount of time.This is why i spent lots of years focusing in Puzzle games, because it is the most challenging games for any player. But now I’ll try to have the same result with the same amount of respecting, but with different ingredients and new methods. So, hope me good luck this 10 days in “The Fart Knight”;
Hey everyone, i got a question more than one. And it always the same question. How i get my ideas ?. I found it is a good time to give a quick post to say thank you for everyone supported “Coated”and to say that am taking couple of days as a quick holiday since i agree the next project idea.
For my idea, i always like to brainstorming my self, even if am alone in the room, i start to brainstorming myself. Some times i brainstorm with my wife. And then start to record all the ideas i got in a very long document and after each project i open that document and start choose from my shelf, like am in super market and trying to get the best thing every time . So, every time i try to choose an idea which is more unique and may be little harder in developing it. This is why i start to take more time choosing the next game, my document now over 100 idea. And am selecting now between 5 idea, but all are not Puzzle games as i promised. So, hope me good-quick-luck to decide which idea to go that time ;
